In addition to traditional appliances and clear ceramic braces, we utilize modern braces to enhance your smile through increased comfort and more efficient treatment. These braces include the "self-ligating" Damon Bracket System and Invisalign®; a state-of-the-art alternative to traditional braces.
Invisalign
Dr. James M. Crouse is an ELITE Preferred Invisalign® Provider. This "Elite" designation places him in the top 1% of Invisalign providers in North America. Dr. Crouse is the first and only orthodontist on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia to reach this status. The Invisalign system is a series of clear, removable aligners that straightens teeth, providing an alternative to traditional metal braces.
Meet Our Doctor
Dr. James M. Crouse is a native of Salisbury. He graduated from Wicomico High School in 1978 and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. Dr. Crouse attended dental school at the University of Maryland at Baltimore; graduating magna cum laude in 1985.
He joined the United States Air Force after dental school and completed a one-year general practice residency at Barksdale AFB hospital in 1986. Dr. Crouse practiced general dentistry at RAF Bentwaters in the United Kingdom for three years then left for orthodontic training. The Air Force sponsored Dr. Crouse’s orthodontic training at Emory University in Atlanta, from which he graduated in 1981. He spent the next three years as the orthodontic consultant at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany.
In 1994, Dr. Crouse left the Air Force to return home to practice with Dr. Alfred Beattie. Dr. Beattie retired in 1995.
Dr. Crouse is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, and the American Dental Association. He is past president of the Eastern Shore Dental Society.
In his spare time Dr. Crouse enjoys scuba diving, hunting and traveling with his wife and two daughters.
Meet Our Staff
Tami joined The Brace Place team in April 2016 as a receptionist. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends camping, shooting pool with her husband Greg, and listening to loud music with her son, Lloyd. She enjoys lazy rainy days with her three dogs Justice, Sophie, and Jeffery. She also loves to bake and decorate character cakes such as Mickey, Tigger, & Pooh.
Raised in San Antonio, TX, Rebecca recently joined The Brace Place team as a receptionist. She currently resides in Parsonsburg with her husband Ed. They have two daughters, Ashley and Lauren. When not working she enjoys cooking, baking, and reading. She also loves spending time with family.
